Indian Ship

This is the largest guitar I build. Although it fits in a Dreadnaught case its' overall dimensions are actually larger, especially in the upper bout. It is a recording instrument-the body is large but the depth is shallow contributing to a very balanced bass and treble; ideal for the recording studio. It has a Sitka spruce top and old growth Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The 5 ply neck contributes to the extreme stiffness of the neck which adds to the overall projection of the instrument. The rosette and top are bound in mother of pearl. There is a hand cut and inlaid ship at the 12/13 fret. The soundhole is sealed with a strip of rosewood to prevent moisture from entering the end grain of the exposed soundhole. Vintage ivoroid binding.
